How to Prepare for Edge to Edge Quilting with Doodle Quilting Studio
Step 1: Download the ‘Quilting Intake’ sheet.
Step 2: Measure your Quilt - Width and Length (Please note if your quilt is not square - measures differently at the ends and middle)
Step 3: Choose your design and thread color. (Not sure? Schedule a consultation below or give us a call!)
Step 4: Choose your batting preference. (Not sure? Schedule a consultation below or give us a call!)
Step 5: Indicate if you would like any additional services with your quilting (ie: trimmed down, binding add-on, etc.)
Step 6: Fill in Estimate and Sign - please feel free to contact us if you need help with this step.
Step 7: Press your Top & Backing and drop off (or Mail) to Doodle Quilting Studio! (Find out how to use our Quilt Dropbox here! )

Don’t have the room to trim up your quilt at home? Or just don’t want to do it? We will trim your quilt to the edge of your top so it is ready for you to bind once you get it home.
$10 flat fee (under 60”) OR $20 flat fee (over 60”)

Masking
Masking is removing quilting from certain areas of the quilt - such as around embroidery or appliqué. Often we recommend masking over photos as to not have stitching through faces.

Want to add a special touch to that perfect gift? We can create a one of a kind embroidered label for you to attach to your quilt back. If you want a specific fabric will need to provide at least 1/4 yard - otherwise we will stitch onto a solid white 100% cotton fabric.
$30.00 for custom label (one color - up to 4 lines); let us know if you want it stitched on or if you prefer to do it.
Is binding the bane of your existence?! Me too! Wrestling the quilt just isn't as fun as snuggling underneath it! The day I discovered that I could avoid the wrestling match by using my longarm to attach binding was one of the best days ever!
Bring us your fully prepared binding when you drop off your quilt and we will attach it for you - we even close up the ends on our longarms. You’ll be ready to hand or machine stitch to the back in no time.
If you prefer to not touch the binding “with a ten-foot pole” we can handle that too - just send enough fabric for the binding and we can do the prep and attachment!
*PLEASE be sure to bring us enough binding - add up the measurements of all 4 sides and then add 10-12 inches for overlap.
$50.00 Flat Fee (includes attaching the binding to the front of your quilt - not a finished binding.)
$0.25/linear inch (for finishing by machine to your quilt back.)
$25.00 flat fee (for us to do your binding prep - including cutting, sewing and ironing it)
Additional fee for non-square quilts, such as scallop or rounded edges.
